Ashley Perkins

Ashley Perkins, co-founder of For Us, is a Licensed Master Social Worker who is dedicated to activism for the Black Diaspora and creating platforms and safe spaces for marginalized communities. Ashley has been recognized as a Biddy Mason Shero, inducted into the Norco High School Hall of Fame, and has traveled the world with her podcast Perky Perspectives, Perky created the For Us series under the podcast to bring a platform to the black community. Ashley also has her own website Perksofwellness.org to that is building a sustainability brand and culture internationally, in order to assist people with reconnecting back to nature for practical reasons, as well as nature-loving reasons. In 2017, she met Tahyira while doing media in Los Angeles. Together the two noticed a lack in community outlets and resources so they launched For Us 4 Us - as a way to build a platform. Community organizing is a passion for Ashley, realizing that the For Us Nation is necessary.

Tahyira Cordner-Arias

Tahyira Savanna, co-founder of For Us, is a young entrepreneur currently residing back in her hometown of Brooklyn after spending 3 years in Los Angeles, C.A.- the entertainment capital of the World. She is a graduate with a Master’s Degree in Criminal Justice from New York’s Long Island University, C.W. Post Campus. Tahyira is also CVO of The RedEyeMediaGroup where she has provides support to many artists, helping them to reach their full potential. In 2017 she officially launched her YouTube channel vlog. She did not want to only inspire herself but also others that are pursuing their own goals. In 2017, she learned about the significance of Juneteenth from Ashley and the two set out on a community quest to build For Us 4 Us on social media. Tahyira believes that if you want to bring positive change in the world you must first begin with yourself.
